We are inviting you to participate in the scientific forum «Endocrine surgery: current concepts of diagnostics and treatment”, which will take place on June 12-13, 2009 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Progress achieved during last decades in solving the problems of diagnostics and treatment of thyroid cancer, has led to the appearance of new concepts of choosing the appropriate tactics for treatment of this pathology.

In 2006 European consensus for the management of patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma of the follicular epithelium was published. Consensus team analysed scientific data and suggested practical concepts for clinicians.

The use of up-to-date diagnostics and treatment approaches allows to achieve positive therapeutic results in most cases of treating patients with thyroid malignancy.

The international scientific forum devoted to the diagnostic and treatment of thyroid malignant tumors will take place on June 12-13, 2009 in St.Petersburg, Russia. Forum is organized by North-Western Regional Medical Centre of Federal Agency of Healthcare – one of the largest centers of endocrinology and endocrine surgery in Russia.

The programme of the forum includes lectures, oral and poster reports and satellite symposiums.

The organization committee is paying much attention to making up a rich cultural programme for the members of the forum, who will be given a chance to see Saint Petersburg – the Northen capital of Russia in all the splendour of its famous «white nights».
